Stop Depression by Playing

Playing, a New Way of Healing - Playing games is what we usually love to do to kill time. While playing, it makes us feel that we are in a different world, far from what is real. Free from worries and anxieties what the real world has given us. It is during this time that we feel we are just living our lives to the fullest without any hindrance. A recent study shows that playing casual, easy going games can help you release the anxieties, pains, worries and the tension you feel. Games like Bejeweled, Text Twist,  Bookworm are some of these games, just to name a few. Dr. Carmen Russoniello said, “The results of this study clearly demonstrate the intrinsic value of certain casual games in terms of significant, positive effects on the moods and anxiety levels of people suffering from any level of depression.” During the study, participants played for full 40 minutes, and it proved that while playing, it reduced 57% of depression symptoms.
