Roger Ebert Tweeted Too Soon

The famous Chicago Times movie critic, Roger Ebert apologized for his insensitive tweet about the death of Jackass star, Ryan Dunn. Ebert tweeted, “Friends don’t let jackasses drink and drive,” causing fans all over to express their displeasure.  Bam Mergera, costar of Dunn responded in several angry tweets how insensitive Ebert was about the tragic incident which took the life of his best friend.  Facebook removed Ebert’s official page due to the onslaught of comments regarding his tweet.  Ebert then tweeted against Facebook for removing his Facebook page.  This prompted the social media network to put it back up with an included apology for the inconvenience.   Ebert then offered his sympathy to the family and friends of the Jackass star and his companion and said that his tweet was “not intended to be cruel, it was intended as true.”
