Philander Rodman Jr., Dennis Rodman’s father is a small business owner in the Philippines.  Despite all the negative write-ups about how he abandoned Dennis, he enjoys a bit of fame just for being the NBA’s ‘bad boy’s’ father.  The senior Rodman shared that even if he did not see Dennis grow up, he still sees himself in Dennis, in a way that they’re both tough.  When Dennis was inducted in the Hall of Fame, he shared in his speech his anger towards his father who fathered 47 children. Philander however corrected his son in an interview by claiming that he only has 29 children.  The older Rodman also expressed his desire to talk to his son someday.  Dennis came to the Philippines in 2006 but his father did not attempt to see him.
