Bam Mergera Mourning

The Jackass star, Bam Mergera is mourning the death of his co-star and best friend, Ryan Dunn. Dunn and his companion, Zachary Hartwell died on Monday morning, June 20 in a violent car crash. The Porsche 911 GT3 Dunn was driving flipped over a guardrail, eventually crashed into a tree and burst into flames. It still has to be determined whether Dunn and his companion, Jackass crew, Hartwell die due to the crash or the fire that engulfed the vehicle. Several hours prior to the incident, Dunn tweeted a picture of him drinking with friends; a toxicology report will be released in a couple of day to see if alcohol played a part in the accident. Mergera was in Arizona when the accident took place made the trip to the site of the crash and burst into uncontrollable sobs for the death of his best friend and his own personal loss. He and Dunn practically grew up together in Pennsylvania; the Mergera family loved and treated Dunn as one of them. It’s pretty understandable why Mergera took great offense when Chicago Times critic Roger Ebert tweeted insensitively about the death of Dunn and lashed out on Ebert in a pair of angry tweets…Ebert apologized for tweeting too quickly.

50 Cent Writes a Novel

Drawing from his childhood experiences, 50 Cent will be writing a book against bullying which will be titled “Playground.” The story is basically about a 13 year-old bully who turns his life around after understanding the harmful effects of bullying. “Playground” will already be the rapper’s fourth book, the first one was an autobiography entitled, “From Pieces To Weight: Once Upon A Time In Southside Queens”, this came out in 2005.  His second book which came out in 2009, is called “The 50th Law.” He also co-wrote “The Ski Mask Way,” a novel about a drug dealer who tries to rob his employers, this reportedly will be adapted into film. Oddly though despite the goal of his fourth book to increase awareness about bullying, 50 Cent has engaged in public feuds with other hiphop artists like Ja Rule, Fat Joe, Sean Combs, Rick Ross and others so it’s pretty much a wonder how he’ll be able to turn the antagonist into the protagonist in his newest book. “Playground” is scheduled to come out in January of 2012.

Megan Fox Fired for Comparing Michael Bay to Hitler

This is proof that you have to be really careful with your figure of speech.  When Megan Fox compared Transformers director, Michael Bay to Adolf Hitler, she probably didn’t think it would be a big deal.  Steven Spielberg, the executive producer of the film – THE Steven Spielberg – learned about the remark uttered by Fox, demanded she be fired right away. Bay wasn’t really offended by the comment Fox made about him for he’s not a Jew, but any actor under the employ of somebody like Steven Spielberg should learn basic decorum is required.  Fox easily gained haters when news about her comment came out, you don’t just compare a person who’s not at all criminal to someone responsible for the death of millions of innocent people and get away with it.  Aside from this, critics mercilessly scrutinized her acting to the point of comparing her to a porn star. Transformers launched Fox to superstardom but after her departure from the movie franchise, she has not appeared in another mega-movie since.

John Edwards Appears in Court

Former senator and presidential hopeful John Edwards appeared in a North Carolina court yesterday for federal tax offense charges.  Edwards, who’s accused of using donations for his campaign to conceal affair with Rielle Hunter, pleads not guilty.  During his campaign for presidency in 2008, Edwards reportedly received close to $1 million dollars from two rather “well-known” supporters, when the biggest allowed amount for contribution from an individual is only $2,300. This large amount of money was supposedly used to pay for Hunter’s prenatal care and to keep things quiet about her condition.  He and his lawyers will be working on crunch time on their defense for the next court date will be in the fall. During this period they are expected to review and study the evidences that the prosecution will be releasing, about 5,000 documents a day.  Right now, Edwards is free on bond.
