The beautiful British actress, Rachel Weisz married James Bond, Daniel Craig in a very private ceremony last week. This news came out of the blue since they were not really publicly seen together. Very few people even knew they were dating! Weisz and Craig reportedly began seeing after they filmed Dream House last year. Weisz has a five year old son from her relationship with filmmaker, Darren Aronofsky while Craig has an eighteen year old daughter from his marriage to Scottish actress, Fiona Loudon. The very secret wedding of Weisz and Craig took place in New York with only four guests in attendance including the couple’s children. Weisz is best known for her role in The Mummy and she won an Oscar for her supporting role in the movie, The Constant Gardener as Tessa Quayle.

 

Amanda Knox, one of the principal suspects in the murder of Meredith Kercher was shocked by Rudy Guede’s accusations regarding how she and former boyfriend, Rafaelle Sollecito murdered Kercher. Knox and former boyfriend, Rafaelle Sollecito have been in prison for four years now despite forensic evidence not being enough to really implicate them. Guede’s changing stories about Kercher’s murder and the involvement of Knox and Sollecito are being challenged by his supposed confession to his inmates. Despite the surfacing of testimonies against him, Guede maintains that Knox and Sollecito were the killers. Guede has become the key witness to this case, aside from being the first to be convicted for the murder of Kercher. Knox earlier claimed that she experienced police brutality and was fed information so she would implicate herself and Sollecito. Police insist however that she and Sollecito are the killers. Forensic evidence will be submitted to the court on the 30th of June and the prosecution and defense will reconvene on the 25th of July.

 

 

After his recent split with his on-again, off-again South African girlfriend, Chelsea Davy, it’s only natural for tongues to wag about Prince Harry’s personal life. He seems to get along with his sister-in-law’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton, but Prince Harry claims he’s single. Pippa also recently broke up with boyfriend, Alex Loudon, making her one of Great Britain’s most eligible bachelorettes and a possible match for Prince Harry. It’s been reported that Prince Harry and Pippa get along so well that they even have a nickname for each other. He calls her “Commando” because of the speculations that she didn’t wear knickers underneath her figure-hugging dress at the royal wedding. Pippa calls him “Captain”…well, because that’s the rank he holds in the army. However, the younger son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana said he’s so busy that dating is the least of his concerns…along with watching TV.

 

Bristol Palin’s memoirs “Not Afraid of Life” is creating some buzz. In essence, the book is about a normal, average teenager. The two main points of interest are her mother’s political career and her teenage pregnancy, which eventually led to unwed motherhood. There’s a part in the book wherein she mentioned that Levi Johnston, aka the Gnat, stole her virginity. Some people speculated whether she was referring to being raped. She was supposed to have been drunk on wine coolers when the gnat took advantage of her stupor. Bristol clarifies that it was not a case of forcibly taking her virginity.

 

Oprah Winfrey exits daytime TV, and enters a slew of hosts wanting to take over. Rosie O’Donnell and Katie Couric have made their bid. Now, Survivor host Jeff Probst joins the fray. We’re used to Probst dealing with mostly unknown “castaways”, but in his new show he will be dealing with newsworthy people. It will definitely be a huge change for fans of the bedimpled, khaki-wearing host. Will CBS win the challenge to dominate daytime TV with its bid? Incidentally, Probst will continue to host and produce Survivor.

 

We all cooed at his cuteness as the 11-year-old Harry Potter. That was a decade ago. Nowadays, Daniel Radcliffe is out of his teens and done with the Harry Potter movies. He has made a name for himself in the entertainment industry and has appeared in other international films. He will always be thought of as Harry, but there’s more to the young man than this role. He is currently being recognized for his efforts with a suicide-prevention group. He will receive the Trevor Project’s Hero Award for his work with gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender teens.

 

Ben Castoriano got booted without even so much as a fighting chance. The reason wouldn’t have stood in court for being based on pure hearsay, but “love” (or reality TV) and law are two different galaxies. Rival William Holman played the sneak by offering dubious information to Ashley Hebert to gain edge during their 2-on-1 date. He had overheard Castoriano joking around with some of the other guys about going to online dating sites after the show. He intentionally misunderstood the locker room-type banter as serious talk and told on Castoriano. Hebert took the information to heart and sent Castoriano packing. Castoriano thinks this was the right call ultimately anyway.

 

Don’t blame the presenter. Tiffany Greene was just as much of a victim as Chris Brown and Rihanna of backstage incompetence. Black Entertainment Television president Stephen Hill says you can go right ahead and blame him. Greene primarily announced Brown as the winner of the Coca-Cola Viewers Choice Award. She quickly corrected herself by saying that the honor actually went to Rihanna. It was an awkward moment made even more awkward by Brown and Rihanna’s past. Hill attributed the confusion to human error.

 

Ben Affleck seems to be that kind of person who thinks things won’t get done right unless he does it himself. He’s an accomplished actor and a more than adequate director, but you have to wonder what made him give himself the starring role in the latest movie he’s directing. The movie “Argo” is being produced by George Clooney, Grant Heslov and David Klawans. It’s about an Iran hostage drama. This is right up Affleck’s alley as he majored in Middle Easter Affairs in college. Affleck has directed himself in the past in “The Town”. Since the movie was both a critical and commercial success, it does justify Affleck’s current choice.

 

“Two and a Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre is determined that Charlie Sheen never make it back to the show. This is why the character of Charlie Harper is about to die a tragic death. Filming doesn’t start until early August, but various death scenes are already being tossed around. There is talk that Ashton Kutcher’s character is supposed to buy Charlie’s house after his death. The script isn’t final, but everybody’s keen on the idea of not making it possible for Charlie Sheen’s character to be resurrected. What if the “winning” actor decides to eat humble pie? Also, any soap opera will tell you that no death is too final that it will deter any possibility of a character resurfacing.
