HBO series, True Blood will be returning to the small screen to satisfy the vampire fix of today’s audience. This series which is based on The Southern Vampire Mysteries by Charlaine Harris has won numerous awards since it first came out. It enjoys being the most widely watched HBO series since The Sopranos. True Blood stars married couple, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer who play the lead characters, Sookie Stackhouse and Bill Compton. Alan Ball, the creator and producer of the series said he didn’t make a conscious effort not to cast Americans In this series, it just turned out that way. In True Blood, a lot of the initial beliefs about vampires have been altered, like vampires when killed explode instead of turning into dust and they have to be invited first into a home to be able to enter it.
