Princess Diana’s first born seems to have inherited his mother’s star quality as well as her looks.
The newly married Prince William will send hordes of fans on the streets screaming again as he
takes part in his grandmother’s birthday celebration. He is to don his red Irish Guards tunic and ride
horseback through central London. It is the same getup he wore to his wedding to Kate Middleton,
now Duchess of Cambridge. Prince William’s horseback stint is part of the traditional “Trooping the
Colour” which is done annually to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s birthday. The Queen, whose birthday
was back in April, is celebrating turning 85 this month when the weather is nicer. A June Saturday
celebration has been a custom for the monarchs since the 1700s.
