Lebanon Lifts Ban on Lady Gaga

Lebanese fans of Lady Gaga will finally be able to purchase her latest album, Born This Way. Lebanon, a conservative country initially banned the album because of one track which was seen to be “offensive to Christians.” Radio networks were also not allowed to play the album. The ban was lifted due to the pressure from fans who claimed they could listen to it over the internet anyway so such moves were pointless. Lady Gaga’s fans are not called Little Monsters for nothing and they really do have a point. Born This Way quickly rose to the charts upon its release in May. It’s probably on its way to topping the Lebanese music charts as well.
