Greenpeace claims that they have it on good authority that the packaging used for Barbie dolls are from Indonesian rainforests. On Tuesday, activists gave the public a show as they rappelled down the Mattel building in LA. They unfurled a banner with an angry Ken’s face. The caption read, “Barbie, it’s over. I don’t date girls that are into deforestation.” Clever, but if they had thought it through, the Greenpeace folks would have realized that Ken dolls got the same packaging too. People have been selling and buying Barbie dolls for many years.
