The US Open will begin on June 16 but we will not be seeing Tiger Woods. He has never missed theĀ US open since he graduated from high school. It has only been two weeks when Woods declared that he would do everything to make it to the US Open. However, due to persistent left leg issues, he’s decided to take a break and give his leg time to heal. He revealed that his knee and Achilles have not yet healed completely and he doesn’t want to risk worsening his present leg condition. The golfer who’s been plagued by controversies about his personal life for the last two years, will be replaced by Michael Whitehead in the lineup. Woods has 14 major championships to his name and golf fans are stillanticipating whether he would be able to beat the 18 that Jack Nicklaus has…he’s still young so, we’ll see.
